In lake June of 2007, the L.I.P.O.A. in partnership with the Village of Lake Isabella had Gerace Construction out of Midland conduct an underwater study of the dam. The inspection, which was positive overall, was also taped by the diver providing some interesting views of the dam from all underwater vantage points. There is some work needed on the sluice gate, which is used to let water of the lake and is being quoted by Gerace Construction and will have to be submitted to the Isabella County Drawin Commissioner for approval. HOwever, according to the diver, he "has never inspected a dam in this good of condition".
